LARAMIE, Wyo.—In a season filled with surprises, the 2021-22 University of Wyoming men’s basketball team competed in the NCAA tournament—a feat not many expected the Cowboys to achieve. Now, the team is hoping for a repeat with the addition of three transfers from California.

FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Bronze Boot will make the trek back across the Wyoming-Colorado border. The Cowboys generated late-game heroics, conjuring some magic, to beat the Colorado State Rams, 14-13. Without their starting quarterback, the Pokes rallied after trailing by 10 late in the first half.

LARAMIE, Wyo.—For the sixth time in seven years, the Wyoming Cowboys are bowl eligible with six wins and one of the top teams in the Mountain West (MW) Conference. Sitting at 6-3 on the season and 4-1 in conference play, the Pokes control their own destiny.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--The Wyoming Cowboys recovered after trailing by 14 points in the first half to defeat the New Mexico Lobos, 27-14. Clamping down defensively, the Pokes held the Lobos scoreless for the final three quarters.

LARAMIE, Wyo.—The Wyoming Cowboys fell to the San Jose State Spartans in their second Mountain West Conference game of the season on Saturday. The loss takes them to 3-3 on the season and 1-1 in the conference.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill.- The Wyoming Cowboys dropped their first game of the 2022 season to the Illinois Fighting Illini, 38-6, on Saturday. The Pokes struggled throughout the entire game, not getting much on offense, and an exhausted defense couldn’t stop the Illini.

LARAMIE, Wyo.—For the University of Wyoming Cowboys, the 2021 season fell short of their great expectations.

The team started out on a roll with four straight wins and headed into conference play undefeated. But then the Cowboys suffered four straight losses to their Mountain West opponents. From there, the team traded wins and losses each of their last four games to finish the season with a 6-6 record.
